Biography
Amy Ballard, PA-C, completed her physician assistant training at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2002. She has also received a National Fracture Liaison Service Certificate of Completion.
Amy was introduced to the field of orthopedic medicine at age 14 when she suffered an ACL injury requiring reconstruction surgery and rehabilitation. It was then that she decided to pursue a career in health care.
Amy says the most rewarding part of her job is “witnessing patients regain their independence and function after life-changing injuries.”
Outside of work, Amy enjoys watching her two children play sports. She also enjoys “anything outdoors,” especially running, hiking, exercising or spending time with her dog.
