Biography
Ashton Wilbanks, NP-C, is a graduate of Hamilton High School and received her associate degree in nursing from Bevill State Community College in Hamilton. She received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of North Alabama in Florence. She completed her master’s degree with family nurse practitioner specialization at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners.
She says she chose health care to make a difference in people’s lives, and became a nurse practitioner because she wanted more responsibility in patient care.
“When providing patient care, I practice evidence-based medicine,” she says. “I treat patients and their families how I would want my own family treated.”
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family. In the evening or weekends, you can usually find her on a ball field or basketball court watching her kids play sports.
