Biography
Erin Green, FNP-BC, received her bachelor’s degree in nursing from Mississippi College in Clinton, and her master’s degree in nursing and family nurse practitioner training from Mississippi University for Women in Columbus.
She says she has always enjoyed learning, teaching and nurturing, so health care was a natural career path for her. “Each unique role I’ve filled throughout my career has allowed me to do those things and take home a sense at the end of the day that I have made a difference.”
Before joining Iuka Medical Clinic, she worked in Jackson. When her husband’s career led them to north Mississippi, her search for a job opportunity led her to North Mississippi Health Services. “I was already aware of the outstanding reputation without ever setting foot inside,” Green says. “I was even more impressed when I experienced the organization firsthand. The friendliness of the staff and the top priority of providing exceptional patient care was obvious from the start.”
Her hobbies include reading (especially historical fiction), traveling, cooking, experimenting with gardening and being surrounded by friends and family.
Favorite Quote: Bloom where you’re planted. –Mary Engelbreit
Green says that quote was repeated to her throughout her life by her mother. She loves the idea of making the best of every situation and being intentional about enjoying life as it is at the moment you’re living it.
