Hematology
Hematologists at North Mississippi Medical Center treat problems with the blood, including problems with red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, lymph nodes, bone marrow, blood vessels and spleen, in addition to problems with bleeding and clotting.
The most common blood disorders include:
- Anemia
- Bleeding disorders such as hemophilia
- Blood clots
- Blood cancers (lymphoma, leukemia, myeloma)
