One in eight women will be affected by breast cancer during her lifetime. If you are one of them, we are here for you.

Services

At the NMMC Breast and General Surgery Clinic, our surgeon offers oncoplastic breast surgery techniques that combine the techniques of traditional breast cancer surgery with the cosmetic advantages of plastic surgery. The goal is to remove cancer while preserving the form and function of your breast.

Hidden Scar Surgery

Hidden Scar breast cancer surgery is a type of breast cancer surgery where the incision sites are hidden, and scars are not visible when the incision heals. The Hidden Scar approach can be performed for both nipple sparing mastectomy or lumpectomy procedures. The goal of the procedure is to leave little trace of the surgery after the incision site heals. Learn more about Hidden Scar surgery.

Nipple Sparing Mastectomy

Nipple sparing mastectomy allows for immediate breast reconstruction after removal. This procedure removes the entire breast through a small incision, saving the nipple, areolar complex and skin. Once reconstructed by a plastic surgeon, this gives the reconstructed breast a normal appearance, and the scar is hidden underneath the breast.

Breast-Reduction Lumpectomy

When a lumpectomy is performed on only one breast, it can reduce its size and alter its shape. A bilateral breast reduction solves this problem by altering the size and shape of the other breast as well. Modifying the other breast will also help make both breasts more symmetrical.

Breast Lift (Mastopexy)

Mastopexy is a plastic surgery procedure intended to lift the breast and put the nipple in a more normal position. In a cancer operation, we can remove tumors using this same technique to give the breast a better cosmetic outcome to lumpectomy.

Stereotactic Breast Biopsy

Stereotactic breast biopsy is a percutaneous needle biopsy using mammography for guidance.
