Biography
John S. Winestone, MD, FAANS, has a special interest in complex spine surgery, minimally invasive spine surgery, general neurosurgery and brain tumors.
Dr. Winestone graduated from the University of Memphis in 1999 before earning his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis in 2003. He completed residency training at the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in 2009.
Dr. Winestone completed a fellowship in functional neurosurgery at Hadassah University Hospital in Jerusalem in 2010 and a fellowship in complex spine surgery at Mayfield Clinic/University of Cincinnati in 2011. He is board certified by the American Board of Neurological Surgery and a Fellow of the American Association of Neurological Surgery.
The most rewarding part of Dr. Winestone’s medical practice is helping patients and their families through difficult times. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with family, especially outdoors.
