Susan Vaughan
Susan Vaughan, MSN, RN, has been named as Chief Nursing Officer at North Mississippi Medical Center-Eupora.
Vaughan came to Eupora from Ochsner Rush Health System in Meridian, where she had served as director of hospital operations for medical, surgical, cardiac telemetry, orthopedic, short stay and wound care departments. She previously worked as chief operating officer for Haxtun Health District and chief nursing officer for Kit Carson County Health Service, both in Colorado, and as medical-surgical director and hospital educator for Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington, Tennessee. Before departing Mississippi in 2015, she served in several nursing leadership roles with Central Mississippi Medical Center and St. Dominic Hospital, both in Jackson.
Vaughan completed her associate degree in nursing at Hinds Community College in 1992. She earned her bachelor’s and master’s degrees in nursing from Walden University in 2013 and 2015, respectively.
