Medical Staff

Khushboo K. Agrawal, M.D.

A graduate of Saint Andrews Episcopal School in Ridgeland, Dr. Agrawal graduated summa cum laude from Vanderbilt University in 2004. She earned her medical degree from the University of Mississippi in 2009 and completed an internship in internal medicine at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn. She completed her residency in ophthalmology at the University of Chicago in 2013 and a surgical vitreoretinal fellowship at the New York Eye and Ear Infirmary in New York, N.Y.


Dr. Agrawal has received numerous honors, including the Maribel Barber Scholarship which provided full tuition for medical school at UMMC; research grants through Harvard University; as well as several awards in medical school and residency for patient care, research, compassion and dedication to service. She has lectured on several national platforms and is board certified in ophthalmology. In addition, she is an active member of the American Society of Retina Specialists, American Academy of Ophthalmology and Women in Ophthalmology.


Heather Hancock, M.D.


Dr. Hancock holds a bachelor's degree in biological chemistry from Birmingham-Southern College and a master's degree in physiology and biophysics from the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She earned her medical degree from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2004 and completed an internship in internal medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. She completed an ophthalmology residency at the University of Southern California in 2008. She completed a fellowship in vitreoretinal diseases and surgery in 2010 at the Charles Retina Institute. She previously served as Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, Vitreoretinal Surgery & Diseases, at the University of Mississippi Medical Center as well as Staff Ophthalmologist at the G.V. Montgomery VA Medical Center.

Our clinic is open from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 8 a.m.-noon Friday.


Referrals are required for most appointments. For more information, call (662) 377-3340 during office hours. Every effort will be made to provide the earliest possible appointment for the convenience of the patient. Due to the unscheduled nature of emergencies, occasional delays do occur. We hope you will understand these delays are unavoidable.

If you are unable to keep your appointment, please cancel as far in advance as possible. Another patient who can be booked into the open time will be grateful for your thoughtfulness.

Low Vision Rehabilitation Services


Low Vision Rehabilitation Services are provided at the Retina Center. A person is considered to have low vision when they are having difficulties with daily tasks because of vision. Low vision rehabilitation is beneficial for patients who have glaucoma, macular degeneration, cataracts, diabetic retinopathy, stroke and traumatic brain injury. The training may be provided in either the home or the clinic, or in some cases both.

Medicare and most insurance companies cover low vision rehabilitation services when provided by an occupational therapist. For more information, click here or call (662) 377-3340.


Patient Portal Offers Secure Online Services to Your Health Information

We now have the ability to exchange secure online correspondence with our patients and keep your information up-to-date. If you have Internet access and sign up for this service, you will have the ability to do the following at your convenience:

  • View your patient chart summary
  • Request an appointment
  • Request a medication refill
  • View test results
  • Change personal information
  • Access forms

To access the service, you will register using a PIN (Personal Identification Number) that will be provided by our clinic staff to you in a personalized letter after a visit to our clinic. The PIN will expire in 30 days. If your PIN has expired before you access your account, please visit us in person to obtain a new PIN. To ensure patient confidentiality, we do not provide this information over the phone.
