New Patient Forms

The most common complaints patients make to their health care providers involves pain of some type. Several treatment options are available to suit each patient’s individual needs.

North Mississippi Regional Pain Consultants is an outpatient department of North Mississippi Medical Center, and located in Longtown Medial Park, 4381 S. Eason Blvd., in Tupelo.

All of our providers work together to provide comprehensive pain management.

Services provided at North Mississippi Regional Pain Consultants include:

• Medication management
• Trigger point injections
• Joint injections

To help you manage your pain, we also make referrals to other providers when appropriate, including:

Physical therapy
Occupational therapy
Water therapy
• Durable medical equipment
• Evaluation for injections and spinal cord stimulation
Behavioral Health/Counseling
• Orthopedics
NMMC Wellness Centers through the Bridge to Wellness program

Pain management can help patients suffering from chronic pain. The goal is to reduce or alleviate pain and enable patients to regain active lifestyles.

In addition, our board-certified anesthesiologist works to decrease pain and make patients more functional using multi-modalities, including nerve blocks and medications.

Fulton Thompson, M.D.

Fulton Thompson, M.D.

Dr. Thompson serves as our medical director. He completed his medical studies at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine in Jackson. He completed his residency training at the Methodist Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and the Medical Center of Louisiana in New Orleans. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Anesthesiology and board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine. Dr. Thompson is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Society of Anesthesiology.

Lisa Hodge, CNP
Hodge received her associate’s degree in nursing from Holmes Community College, and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from the University of Mississippi School of Nursing in Jackson. In 2009, she received her master’s degree and family nurse practitioner certificate from the University of Alabama-Birmingham. She is board certified by the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.

April Saval, PA

Saval graduated cum laude from the University of Michican Medical School in Ann Arbor with a bachelor's degree. She completed graduate school for physician assistants at the University of Detroit in Michigan, and her Ph.D. from Virginia Commonwealth University in Richmond. She is board certified by the National Commission of Certification of Physician Assistants, and a member of the Mississippi Association of Physician Assistants, the American Congress of Rehabilitation Medicine and the American Association of Physician Assistants.

Angela Britton, DNP, FNP-BC, MSN

Britton received her associate’s degree in nursing from Hinds Community College in Raymond, and her certification as a registered nurse first assistant from Southwest Florida College in Fort Myers. She received her and master’s degree in nursing from Samford University in Birmingham, where she also completed her doctorate of nursing practice.

Robert Allen Moss, Ph.D.

Dr. Moss provides psychologic care for pain management patients. He recevied his bachelor's degree in psychology at Georgia College in Milledgeville, Ga. He completed his master's degree and Ph.D. in psychology at the University of Georgia in Athens. He has been working as a licensed psychologist since 1981. He is a diplomate in clinical psychology with the American Board of Professional Psychology and a diplomate of the American Board of Professional Neuropsychology.
