Leadership Team -- Lee Greer, M.D.

Lee Greer, M.D., MBA, is Chief Quality and Safety Officer for North Mississippi Health Services.

Dr. Greer specializes in geriatric medicine. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine with a Certificate of Added Qualification in Geriatric Medicine.

In 1994, Dr. Greer graduated summa cum laude from Mississippi State University with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Civil Engineering. He completed his medical studies at the University of Mississippi School of Medicine, where he was awarded the Medical Student of the Year Award at graduation, and was a member of Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) Honor Society. He completed his family medicine residency at the University of Tennessee in Jackson, where he served as Chief Resident. He completed his geriatric medicine fellowship at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Most recently, in 2009, he earned an MBA from Yale University.

Dr. Greer has served as Chief of Staff at North Mississippi Medical Center-Pontotoc, Associate Medical Director of North Mississippi Medical Clinics, Director of Medical Outcomes and Safety for North Mississippi Health Services, and is currently the Chief Quality and Safety Officer for North Mississippi Health Services. North Mississippi Health Services is one of the largest rural healthcare systems in the country with six hospitals, thirty-four clinics and a home health/hospice agency.

Dr. Greer is a member of the American Geriatrics Society, American Medical Association, Northeast Mississippi Medical Society, Mississippi State Medical Association and the American College of Physician Executives. He is also a current member of the Board of Directors for the Institute for Quality in Healthcare.
