Visitor Information


Parking

Visitors to North Mississippi Medical Center-Amory should park in the parking area on the east side of the hospital. The parking entrance is located on Earl Frye Boulevard. Parking is also available in front and side of the front of the hospital.

Parking lots are patrolled regularly by hospital Security Officers. The Security Officers may be reached by dialing 315-1872. If you need to contact Security after hours, please contact the operator at 256-7111.
Please do not park in fire lanes, reserved spaces, or spaces designated for ambulances.

 

Patient Pickup

 

Patients can be picked up at the Main Entrance on the Boulevard seven days a week, at the Main Hospital entrance. Outpatient surgery patients can be picked up at the Outpatient Pavilion Entrance located in the back of the hospital.

 

Smoking

 

For the safety and comfort of our patients, visitors and staff, smoking is strictly prohibited in NMMC-Gilmore-Amory’s facilities and campus.

 

Making Outside Calls

 

For local calls from all Hospital phones dial "9" and then the number. Telephone devices to assist the deaf and hearing impaired can be obtained upon request.

 

Calling Hospital Extensions from within the Hospital

 

Simply dial the last four digits of the number.

 

Calling Hospital Numbers from outside the Hospital

 

Callers outside the Hospital must dial the number directly.

 

Calling a Patient

 

Each patient has a direct phone number to their room that is assigned upon admission. Please call the operator at 256-7111 and ask to be connected.

 

Pastoral Care and Chapel Services

 

Pastoral care and counseling is provided by chaplains who are available to assist patients and their families at any hour.

 

An interfaith chapel is provided for prayer and meditation and may be used by you, your personal minister or your family and friends. It is open at all times and is located near the Central Nursing Station.

 

Our Staff

 

During your stay, you will come in contact with physicians, nurses and other members of our clinical team such as dietitians, physical therapists and lab technologists. Each staff member should be identified with a hospital badge.

 

Gilmore Café (Cafeteria)

 

Hospital visitors may dine in the cafeteria located on the first floor. We offer a full meal along with several grilled items. The cafeteria is open to the public as well as to hospital staff during the following hours:
Monday - Friday
Breakfast:
7 - 10:30 a.m.
Lunch:
11:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.
Closed to public Saturday and Sunday.

 

Guest Trays

 

If requested, guest trays can be purchased for a charge of $5.00 plus tax per meal. Please contact Dietary Services at 256-6235 for more information.

 

Vending Machines

 

For the convenience of our visitors, there are vending machines located in the Outpatient Pavilion (near ICU) and the Main Entrance near the Emergency Room.

 

Restrooms

 

Restrooms are located in or near visitor waiting rooms and in the hallway toward the front of the building.
